.NET Domain Names
When the Dot NET universal TLD was first set up in 1985, together with the first domains on the World Wide Web, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure establishments. Since there were no special restrictions about the usage of the top-level domain, though, .NET domains were obtained and used for various purposes and by scores of people. This TLD is a wonderful alternative to .COM, especially if the desirable domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.
Securing a dot NET domain with our company is simple and takes merely a couple of minutes, considering that we work with an ICANN-approved registrar. You can reserve such a domain for a time interval between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can transfer it to our firm and we will renew it when the transfer process is finished. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are not locked and that you have acquired an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily modify the WHOIS contacts of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you wouldn't like this information to be accessible at all, you can buy an identity protection service, so no one will be able to view your real contact details.
The .NET domain name extension supports internationalized names, so you can choose whether you want to aim at a particular country or area using a domain name in the regional language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
